What’s Next As We Wait 6 Weeks
Before going ahead let’s revisit Lane Kiffin’s calls on that goal line stand. Running 3 times (he must not have known what we did to Stanford) not only did he run but he ran right at Big Lou Nix–really stupid. I would have passed all those downs to Lee–he would have caught one.
I guess that recruiting is center stage now with coaches all over the place and Kelly really going hard at Max Redfield, safety prospect from California–would be great to get him. Chasing a few RB’s also–is their a big fullback out there–say 245 lbs? I want that guy.
Kelly’s problem right now–only 2 maybe 3 spots left although there have been rumblings that OLB commit Danny Mattingly is looking around as well as RB commit Jamal James. I hope we can keep both.
Anyone notice the lack of production from Tuitt in last several games? Man was he overshadowed by Kap Moore.
Seniors to worry about not coming back–Cierre Wood (gone) Louis Nix, Zack Martin, Chris Watt–all seniors, how do you get better than 12-0 and possible win in the big game. I think all 3 linemen would go in the 1st 3 rounds–get paid now and avoid a career ending injury.
Talking about the Championship Game, I’m with Chris who commented earlier–let’s play Bama and shut them the hell up.

Heck yeah! I want ‘bama. Now more than ever. I’m in Boston. Boston sports radio hates college sports. Can’t blame them. But they hate ND more. I say, shut them all up. Play Alabama. Win.
I am old enough to remember the controversy. Win out right. Give us your best. I really like this team. They have heart. They’re tough. Maybe not as talented as they should be since they’re ND, but still, a tough bunch of guys.
Wow you say it all–now let’s not only beat Bama but lay it on them. Those bastards still complaining about 1966.
Any insight on who get’s the BC job–I’m thinking Randy Edsal.
I think they’ll try to get Mark Whipple, QB coach for the browns. He used to be head coach of UMass and took them to the 1aa national championship back in 98. His success is why UMass went D1.
Interestingly, Bob Diaco, ND’s defensive coordinator is also being considered. I think that is unlikely though. Diaco still has another month and a half of work to do. And obviously, whoever gets the BC job has to get to work right away. What a mess at BC!
Chris–hadn’t thought of Whipple–maybe a good pick, they have to get working right away–I like this QB Rettik? BC has so Whipple might be the guy.
On the other hand,if such a mess they may wait for Diaco,
who I would hate to lose but he is a helluva recruiter. BC would have to give him a lot of time to build though.
Feel bad for Spaziani–good defensive coach just not HC.
