Elijah Hood Decommits
Now this is bad news – the big fast back we’ve been lacking drops Notre Dame to stay closer to home. Hello N. Carolina. Seems family is a big factor here – they wanted him near home. Oh well, better to get the news now than in February.
2014 class is now back at 16 – so the staff needs to start poaching commits elsewhere and troll for a kid that isn’t frightened to go away to school. Probably would have been a one and out or a Vanderdoes.
Way too many prima donnas out there these days. Also think when crunch time and the tough academics kick in – if a kid is a marginal student other recruiters will hammer him with ND’s academics. Can’t really blame a kid for getting the willies about passing a calculus class.

Please don’t hound the kid…..give him time to think about it…..ND will continue to talk to him…
Hey Bob–thanks for checking in. No intention to hound any kid but dammit kids these days don’t know what the word commitment means.
I think we have zero chance of getting him back. Last several years we’ve had a wave of guys dropping out–in my mind way too many. If this frustrates me, the ND staff must be beside themselves–year after year.
Just really wanted this big back.
